Field Hockey Exhibition Tour to
San Diego, California
October 12th - 18th, 2009

Day 1
Leave from your
departure city for Los Angeles, California. Upon arrival the team
will pick up its 1-12 passenger van and take the two hour drive south to
San Diego. Check into your hotel for the next 5 evenings located in
Mission Valley. Rest of the day free to relax from the trip and get
acquainted with the area.
Your 1 - 12 passenger van is rented from
Thrifty Rent A Car
(just off the airport site).
Day 2
This morning the team will visit
Old Town in the heart of San Diego. This area has a number of
wonderful Mexican shops and museums etc. for the team to explore.
Later this afternoon,
the team will have its first exhibition field
hockey game against the girls field hockey team from a local San
Diego High School.

 Day 3
The girls may choose to visit
Sea World this morning.
Perhaps best known for its Orcas, this 60 hectare park has dozens of
displays housing marine animals from around the world, including
dolphins, penguins, manatees and sharks. It is a recognized research and
education facility as well as a theme park.
A major attraction is Wild Arctic,
with visitors boarding jet helicopter simulators for a realistic Flight to
a remote research station. After landing, they visit animal habitats with
above and below water viewing of beluga whales, harbour seals, polar bears
and walruses.
The team will play its
second game later this afternoon against the girls team from
another San Diego area high school team.

Day 4
This morning, the
team will play its third and final exhibition field hockey game
against a local San Diego high school team. In the afternoon, the team
has a myriad of options available. Perhaps a visit to
the world famous
San Diego Zoo.

Day 5
The team will board the van early this
morning and take the drive up to Anaheim to buy the one day pass to
Disney.
|
Day 6
Check out of your San Diego hotel this
morning and take the two hour drive north back up to the Los Angeles
airport for the return flight back to your original departure city.
